President & Chief Executive Officer
David Strong is responsible for providing leadership, strategic guidance and direction of the organization which consists of eight wholly-owned or affiliated hospitals; two of the largest multi-specialty practices in Central Florida; ownership in an outpatient surgery center, and a subsidiary interest in five outpatient imaging centers.
Chief Financial Officer
Bernadette Spong oversees all facets of financial operations for Orlando Health. These areas include finance, supply chain, information services, revenue management, asset strategy and care coordination. Bernadette joined the organization in 2015 with 30 years of healthcare experience.
Jamal Hakim, MD
Chief Operating Officer
As the Chief Operating Officer, Jamal Hakim, MD, oversees the daily operations and management of all Orlando Health hospitals and their patient care. He also oversees the organization’s clinical quality, corporate nursing, medical staff services, and human resources. Dr. Hakim has served Orlando Health in various capacities since 1991, including interim president and CEO from 2013 to 2015.
Mildred Beam, Esq.
Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs
Mildred Beam oversees the management of all legal affairs at Orlando Health, including federal and state regulatory compliance, corporate business, transactional law, patient care, employment, real estate, liability and insurance, construction and medical affairs. She also has operational responsibility for the organization’s clinical research and risk management.

Since joining Orlando Health in 1977, John has served as financial analyst, director of finance, vice president of finance, senior vice president, and vice president and executive director of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He has also served as vice president of business development and president of Arnold Palmer Hospital.
Senior Vice President, Orlando Health; President, South Seminole Hospital
Karen Frenier has served as president of South Seminole Hospital since 2012. Previously she has served as president of Dr. P. Phillips Hospital and vice president of operations at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Senior Vice President, External Affairs & Community Relations
Andy Gardiner joined Orlando Health in June 2008. He oversees the strategy for corporate external affairs and is responsible for all community and business relations activities for the organization.
R. Erick Hawkins
Senior Vice President of Strategic Management
R. Erick Hawkins is the senior vice president of strategic management. In this role, Erick leads the organizations’ strategic planning, business development, and innovation efforts. Erick previously served as chief financial officer and vice president of heart and vascular services for University of North Carolina REX Healthcare in Raleigh.

Dave was appointed Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer in 2006, and is responsible for the Compliance & Ethics Program that includes Corporate Compliance, Internal Audit, Privacy and Information Security.

Mark A. Jones is senior vice president of Orlando Health and president of Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). His career with Orlando Health began in 1986 as an administrative resident, and he has held various leadership positions throughout the organization.
Senior Vice President, Orlando Health; President, Health Central Hospital
Mark Marsh is the president of Health Central Hospital and serves as senior vice president of Orlando Health. He joined the organization in 2016 with more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience.
John A. Moore
Senior Vice President, Orlando Health; President, South Lake Hospital
John joined Orlando Health in 1997, as the corporate director of orthopedic services and then administrator of community services. John served as the administrator of campus and business development and chief operating officer of South Lake Hospital, in affiliation with Orlando Health, before being named chief executive officer in 2011.
Senior Vice President of Ambulatory
Gregory P. Ohe is the senior vice president of ambulatory for Orlando Health. He has served as president of Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, overseeing the 171-bed hospital; Health Central Park, a nursing and rehabilitation center; Express Care, an urgent care walk-in clinic; and a state-of-the-art surgery center.
Mark Roh, MD
Senior Vice President, Orlando Health; President, UF Health Cancer Center – Orlando Health
Mark Roh, MD, MMM, FACS, serves as the president of UF Health Cancer Center — Orlando Health. An internationally renowned liver cancer surgeon, Dr. Roh also serves as the chairman of the Department of Surgery at the Cancer Center.
Andrew J. Snyder
Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications
Andrew Snyder is the senior vice president of marketing and communications. He most recently served as vice president and chief marketing officer for AMITA Health in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where he oversaw all aspects of marketing, brand management and web/social media strategy.
Senior Vice President, Orlando Health; President, Arnold Palmer Medical Center
Kathy Swanson is president of Arnold Palmer Medical Center, which consists of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. She led the planning, development and opening of Winnie Palmer Hospital in 2006, which was the first free-standing hospital in Central Florida dedicated to the care of women and babies.

Thibaut van Marcke is the senior vice president of Orlando Health, and president of Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. Prior to his current role, Thibaut was vice president and chief operating officer for HCA - North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville.
