Arnold Palmer Hospital

Clinical Social Workers are key members of the healthcare team working with patients and their families to help manage the difficulties of a hospital stay. Clinical Social Workers are experienced mental health professionals who have a master's degree and are licensed by the state of Florida.

They provide counseling and support to help families cope with the emotional stresses of illness and hospitalization. They assist with discharge planning to ensure the continuity of care. They also provide referrals to community services and resources.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Clinical Social Work Support Groups

Support groups can help patients, families and caregivers manage and cope. By attending a support group, you meet others facing similar issues, exchange helpful and practical information. Our support groups are free of charge.

 

  • Lupus Support Group

    This support group provides educational and support to teens and adults with Lupus. Families are also invited to attend.

  • Neonatal Parent Hour

    This is a support group for parents who currently have an infant in the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies NICU. Speakers discuss medical topics, agencies that provide follow-up for infants post discharge and address coping with the stress of having a infant in the NICU.

  • Perinatal/Neonatal Bereavement Support Group

    This group is an open support group for parents who have experienced a perinatal loss (i.e., miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, stillbirth and newborn deaths).
