Arnold Palmer Hospital is recognized by the American College of Radiology (ACR) as an accredited imaging center in the areas of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound. This recognition represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety and is awarded only to those who meet the ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards. Our Image Gently Equipment has been manufactured and calibrated to allow for as low as reasonably acceptable radiation dosage for our small patients. Our radiology department uses the most advanced technologies to capture digital images to help diagnose and treat your child. In addition to standard radiographic images, we also provide computerized tomography (CT), magnetic resonance images (MRI) and ultrasound services to aid in the care of your child. Our completely digital imaging system allows all of your child's physicians to have immediate access to your child's images from their home or office. Our equipment has been manufactured and calibrated to allow for the lowest possible radiation dose for our small patients.
We have board certified radiologists providing the interpretations of your child's tests to help ensure that the unique physical conditions of childhood are being considered in the test results. Our dedicated pediatric radiology staff, lead by pediatric radiologists, has received subspecialty certification in pediatric radiology by the American Board of Radiology. And we are proud to be the only provider in Central Florida to have dedicated pediatric sedation team providing care for children who need to be sedated during testing. Our sedation team is comprised of Board Certified Pediatric Anesthesiologists, Certified Registered Nurses,Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and Registered Nurses. All services are coordinated with the Pediatric Anesthesiologists, which allows us to provide the safest and most appropriate level of sedation for the patient.
