Pediatric Sports Medicine Surgery
Pediatric Sports Medicine Surgery is a specialty that provides evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries in children. With the growing number of young adults involved in sports a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, rehabilitation, education and prevention is required. We realize that when an injury does occur, it is important to seek medical attention from someone who understands the demanding nature of the playing field, especially on the body. The bodies of young adults and still developing children require different coaching, conditioning and medical care than more mature adult athletes. Uneven growth areas in children leave young athletes more susceptible to injury.
Arnold Palmer Hospital provides a
comprehensive Pediatric Sports Medicine Program designed to serve
Central Florida’s growing number of young athletes. Through a
multidisciplinary approach to treatment, rehabilitation, education and
prevention of athletic injuries, our team helps children with a variety
