MD Anderson Cancer Center

Cancer Research Institute of MD Anderson Cancer Center Orlando

The mission of the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) is to perform translational cancer research, that is, to efficiently translate research findings in cell and molecular biology to clinical utility. This will be achieved through the assembly of an interdisciplinary team of active cancer researchers, the provision of laboratory research facilities, and the establishment of an infrastructure that encourages the interaction of physicians and scientists with a common goal.

The focus of the research performed at the CRI will be driven by the desire to improve the outcome for cancer patients. Collaborative research already occurs between CRI staff and the University of Central Florida, the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
