Jayne Willis, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, CENP was appointed the Vice President of Nursing for Orlando Health in June of 2016. Jayne also serves as the Chief Nursing Officer for Orlando Regional Medical Center a position she has held since April 2011. In these roles, Jayne is responsible for executive oversight of nursing services at Orlando Health and for Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), a Level I Trauma Center. Jayne serves as a member of the Orlando Health Executive Cabinet, the Nurse Executive Council, and the Executive Quality Team.
Jayne received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida, with a concentration in nursing administration. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive-Advanced by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and as a Certified Executive in Nursing Practice by the American Association of Nurse Executives. Prior to her current executive roles, Jayne spent many years in critical care nursing and provided leadership in specialties including trauma, cardiovascular services, burns, and neuro intensive care. She co-chairs the hospital bioethics program and has a passion for end-of-life issues. Jayne has published in the areas of critical care nursing and bioethics.
Jayne is well known in the nursing community serving as past president Sigma Theta Tau, International Nursing Honor Society, Theta Epsilon Chapter, and American Association of Critical Care Nurses Metro Orlando Chapter. She has a courtesy faculty appointment at University of Central Florida College of Nursing, and serves on the UCF Nursing Advisory Board. She is a member of the Florida Organization of Nurse Executives and the Florida Bioethics Network. For many years she served on the board and is past-chair of the board of Shepherd’s Hope Inc. Jayne is a member of the Central Florida Women’s league and is a graduate of Leadership Orlando. She is a member of the community board for the Florida State University College of Medicine.
