Our doors never close! The Emergency/Trauma Department at Orlando Regional Medical Center is always here to provide our patients with accessible patient and family centered care. The Emergency Department is staffed around the clock with skilled professionals and support personnel. We are Central Florida's only Level One Trauma Center. In conjunction with ORMC's Air Care Team, we provide helicopter response and emergency and trauma services to Orange County and nine other Central Florida counties.
Our 58-bed Emergency Department is divided into four separate areas: 26 acute adult beds, 13 pediatric beds, 13 FlexCare beds, and trauma bays which accommodate 6 patients. In addition, there are three triage evaluation rooms for minor evaluation of care.
ORMC's emergency physicians and nurses are certified in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. We also have certified emergency nurses, trauma nursing core curriculum, certified advanced trauma nurses, and certified pediatric emergency nurses. Our in-house trauma team includes surgeons, radiologists, dedicated operating room suites, and support staff capable of handling all levels of trauma. We also offer a specialized pediatric emergency and trauma services and burn trauma services in association with ORMC's Burn Center.
