Financial Assistance Program

Need Help Paying Your Bill?

In an effort to meet the community’s healthcare needs, financial assistance is available to uninsured patients who have limited or no resources to pay for emergent or medically necessary services rendered at an Orlando Health facility.

Financial assistance applies to bills from Orlando Health Hospitals and employed physicians. Providers contracted with Orlando Health may follow the financial assistance policy. Community/private providers are not included in Orlando Health’s financial assistance policy.

How Do I Qualify for Financial Assistance?

You may request a pricing estimate and ask for help with your bill at any time during your hospital stay or billing process. Financial assistance is based on information that considers your yearly income and family size. Based on current Federal Poverty Guidelines, you may qualify for assistance with all or part of your hospital bill through a review of your income, assets, and other resources. Federal Poverty Guidelines can be found at http://aspe.hhs.gov/poverty/index.cfm.

If a validated financial statement application reflects an income at or below 200% of the most current Federal Poverty Level for the stated family size, the account will qualify for community care assistance in its entirety. If a validated application reflects a household income between 200% and 400% of the current Federal Poverty Level for the stated family size, a sliding scale will be applied and the account will qualify for partial community care assistance.
