Robert Cohen, PsyD

Robert E. Cohen, PsyD, is a rehabilitation psychologist with Orlando Health Neuropsychology Consultants. He is board certified in rehabilitation psychology.

Dr. Cohen earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and graduated magna cum laude before graduating with his master’s degree in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the same institution with a special focus on evaluating and treating post-traumatic war veterans. Dr. Cohen then completed an internship at North Chicago Veterans Hospital also with special focus on evaluating and treating post-traumatic war veterans, before completing his residency at St. Mary’s All Saints Healthcare — Rehabilitation Hospital where he focused on the neuropsychological assessment and treatment of acute traumatic brain injury. 

Dr. Cohen specializes in assessing and diagnosing patients with a variety of neurological disorders, memory loss and related degenerative dementias, in addition to evaluating the impact and severity of traumatic brain injury. He provides clinical neuropsychological direction and program development for the inpatient Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center, where he conducts bedside evaluations on patients and provides family education for patients with brain and spinal cord injuries.

Dr. Cohen served as president of the Florida Psychological Association — Central Chapter from 2008-10. He is currently a member of Division 22, American Psychological Association, a professional member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, a board member of the Central Florida MS Society and a board member of Share the Care.
