Dr. Cohen is from Long Island, NY and is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She earned her PhD in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) in North Chicago, IL. Prior to her graduate training, Dr. Cohen had specialized training in the fields of applied behavior analysis and autism spectrum disorders. Since her graduate training, she has acquired expertise in developmental and neuropsychological evaluations of children, adolescents, and young adults with medical and neurodevelopmental disorders such as epilepsy, congenital heart defects, ASD, ADHD, and traumatic brain injury.

Dr. Cohen completed her internship in pediatric neuropsychology at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital. Her residency in neuropsychology was completed in an outpatient practice under the supervision of Patrick W. Gorman, PsyD, ABPP, in Winter Park, FL. She started the neuropsychology service line at APH in 2009, and has authored and published several scientific papers on the cognitive correlates of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Her professional affiliations include the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology, and the Florida Psychological Association. Dr. Cohen is dedicated to teaching parents how to develop a child's strengths, and also how to be an advocate for a child's needs.
