Concussions are a type of traumatic brain injury caused by a bump or blow to the head. While most people with a concussion recover quickly and fully, for some, the symptoms can last much longer. Recovery may be slower in older adults, young children and teens and those who have had a concussion in the past are at a higher risk for having another one.
Symptoms may include:
- Nausea or vomiting
- Balance problems of dizziness
- Blurred or double vision
- Difficulty thinking clearly or concentrating
- Sleeping less OR more than usual
