Our doctors are skilled at treating this tendon condition, which can be caused by injury or arthritis. Our goal is to restore full motion to your finger.
Our preferred treatment is to straighten your finger and apply a splint to keep your tendon in place while it heals. But you may need surgery if your tendon is severed or a bone fragment is displaced, or if splinting doesn’t improve your condition. We will also develop a rehabilitation plan that teaches you stretching exercises to improve the strength and flexibility in your finger.
