Our doctors will assess the severity of the fracture behind the knuckles of your fist, and then make sure the bones are properly set and immobilized. Our goal is to help you heal without deformity and with full range of motion in your fingers.
If your bone is displaced, our orthopedic specialists will straighten it before applying a splint or cast. Depending on the severity of your break, we may recommend minimally invasive surgery to insert pins that will hold the bones in place. Your treatment likely will include physical therapy to help you regain full motion so you can return to the activities you enjoy.
