Prevention and Wellness Program
The Orlando Health Heart Institute is dedicated to helping you manage your health for the best life possible.
The Orlando Health Heart Institute is committed to the health of all Central Florida residents. We provide a number of services and specialized clinics designed to help you become healthy and stay well.
Our Prevention and Wellness Program provides the most up-to-date screenings to test for potential heart issues. These include lipid screenings to assess cholesterol and trigylceride levels, and the Coronary Calcium Score Screening, which uses a special X-ray test called computed tomography to check for calcium buildup on the walls of the coronary arteries. Arrhythmia testing is also offered through the Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia Center to detect irregular heart rhythms.
A variety of wellness programs provide education and support for managing heart-related conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and hypertension. We’ll help you make positive lifestyle changes — from diet management and exercise planning to quitting smoking — to get your heart and health on the right track.
For individuals with heart-related conditions, we offer clinics to help patients manage their pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart failure. Finally, those who require surgery receive the education and support they need for the most successful outcome possible, with ongoing support from our clinical specialists to maintain a life of wellness.
