Our orthopedic and sports medicine doctors will develop a personalized treatment and pain management plans for you to cope with this common sports injury.

Iliotibial (IT) band syndrome occurs when there is tightness or inflammation in the iliotibial band, the ligament that extends from the outer pelvis area to the hip and the knee. Our sports medicine doctors are experts at treating this condition, which is common in runners and cyclists and often is mistaken for a knee injury. We will develop a treatment plan for you that may include medicine, injections and physical therapy.
