Your child will swallow a pill-sized capsule containing a tiny camera, which will travel through the body and send images to a data recorder that doctors will use to develop a diagnosis and treatment.
Children who undergo a capsule endoscopy wear a data recorder on a waist belt or a shoulder strap. The capsule passes through your child’s digestive tract and is eliminated through normal bowel movements. The images captured allow our gastroenterologists to diagnose a variety of conditions including polyps, anemia, bleeding, bowel function and tumors.
