Our podiatrists aim for early diagnosis and treatment of congenital foot deformities while the bones and tissues of your child’s feet are still flexible. We may use stretching and casting to restore normal shape and function to your child’s feet with the goal of reducing the need for surgery.
Clubfoot, when one or both feet turn downward and inward, is the most common congenital disorder of the feet. Our expert podiatrists may correct this deformity by gently stretching your child’s foot and applying a new cast on a weekly basis, gradually changing the shape of the foot. We also work to correct other congenital deformities, including claw toes and turned foot, by similar methods.
