Skin tags are thin, hanging appendages attached to the skin by narrow stalks. They are not contagious or cancerous and form over time for various reasons. Genital warts develop on the mucus lining of the genitals, anus, rectum or groin after exposure to the human papilloma virus, or HPV.
Our surgeons can remove your skin tags and genital warts by freezing them with a focused spray of liquid nitrogen that blisters the growths, causing them to fall off. In some instances, we may decide to remove them with a surgical tool or, in extensive cases, with laser treatments. Medication in cream form can be used either as treatment or to reduce the chances of warts recurring.
