This technology provides more detailed images, with less radiation. It also allows the physician to electronically manipulate the images to make a more accurate diagnosis. And not only is it more comfortable for the patient, but it also allows the radiology technologist to be with the patient during the entire exam.

It's important to remember to check with your physician and insurance prior to your appointment. Prescriptions are required for both screening and diagnostic mammograms. If your last mammogram was not performed at and Orlando Health Facility, you will need to bring your films with you the day of your appointment.
