UF Health Cancer Center – Orlando Health is proud to be the first area hospital to offer low-cost CT Lung Cancer Screenings, which are proven to be more effective than X-rays in detecting lung cancer. Available the third Wednesday of every month, the scans may detect suspicious nodules that might not typically show up on a standard X-ray.
Anyone who is over age 50 and has smoked a pack a day for 20 years or more qualifies for this special screening.
