The obstetricians and gynecologists at Winnie Palmer Hospital come from a wide variety of backgrounds. They have trained throughout this country and around the world, but all must be board certified through the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Some work in large groups and others are in sole practices; however, together they have hundreds of years of experience. With thousands of babies delivered yearly, there are not many clinical statistics that the doctors and staff have not encountered.

Because of our volumes, Winnie Palmer Hospital can boast of having at least 5 physicians in the hospital every hour of every day. In addition, there is always an anesthesiologist and neonatologist in the building. There are always fetal-maternal-medical specialists readily available. Help in an emergency is always on hand.

However, most obstetricians want to allow the patient to have a family-centered experience in a quiet labor-delivery-recovery room. Safety always comes first, though we strive to enjoy the miracle of childbirth.

Winnie Palmer Hospital is a Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Hospital for the State of Florida, whereby high-risk obstetrical patients and their infants are referred to our specialists.
