Brian Martinez, DNP, APRN-CNS, NEA-BC, GERO-BC, AGCNS-BC, NHDP-BC, CEN, is Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital’s chief nursing officer, guiding the hospital’s nursing operations and strategic vision. A strong leader with a true passion for nursing, Brian also collaborates and works well with other disciplines across the system.

Brian joined Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital in 2017. As the nurse operations manager for the emergency department, he also was instrumental in planning and opening the freestanding emergency room in Lake Mary. He later served as administrator of patient care services. Prior to joining Orlando Health, he was a staff development educator and clinical nurse specialist at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Virginia and an adjunct faculty member (RN-BSN program) for James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Brian has a passion for education and professional development as demonstrated by his involvement as chair of the Seminole High School Health Sciences Academy board and on the boards of directors for the Seminole State College Nursing Advisory Board and Hope & Help of Central Florida.

Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from James Madison University, a master’s in nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and a doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
