As chief quality officer of medicine for Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC), Christopher Hunter, MD, is responsible for working with leadership and medical staff to develop and adopt an organizational culture of quality and safety.
Chris has held several positions at Orlando Health and throughout the community. Most recently, he was the assistant program director for the Orlando Health Emergency Medicine Residency, the associate medical director of the Orange County Emergency Medical Services System and the medical director for the Orlando Health Air Care Team. He is also the former director of the Health Services Department for Orange County.
He earned a doctorate in neuroscience from the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston) and a medical degree from New York Medical College (Valhalla). Chris completed a residency and fellowship at Orlando Health, and is board certified in both emergency medicine and emergency medical services.
