As chief nursing officer for Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital, a position she has held since 2012, Cynthia oversees the facility’s nursing services with a focus on providing quality patient care.

She joined Orlando Health in 1978 as a graduate nurse in the medical surgical unit at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). She went on to become a nursing administrative supervisor and, in 2003, took the role of nursing operations manager for the coronary care unit and cardiovascular recovery room. In 2007, she was appointed the patient care administrator for emergency services, trauma and critical care.

Cynthia earned her bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Florida in Gainesville and her master’s in healthcare administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. She is a board-certified nurse executive and a member of the Florida Organization of Nurse Executives.
