As chief quality officer of Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, Jose leads the obstetrics and gynecology teams in the charge to improve the processes and collaboration that support enhanced quality outcomes.
Previously, he served as the physician champion for Labor & Delivery as well as the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and postpartum unit. In the past, his roles have included physician lead for our Early Elective Delivery Campaign, unit director for the OB and postpartum units, chair of the OB Quality Committee and vice chair of the OB Department.
Jose earned his medical degree from the Universidad de Zaragoza in Spain and completed his residency training at Texas Tech University Regional Academic Health Center in El Paso, Texas. He has been in private practice since 1984. In 2012, he received Orlando Health’s Exemplary Physician Colleague Award from his nursing colleagues.
