Susan Stallard

Susan Stallard is the Vice President of Corporate Quality & Operational Effectiveness at Orlando Health. Prior to taking on this role, she was selected to serve as the first non-physician Chief Quality Officer at Orlando Health Dr. Phillips Hospital from 2019-2021.

Her previous work experience included creating and leading the Orlando Health Improvement System Team that oversaw the implementation of a sustainable infrastructure for strategy deployment corporately and at all system hospitals based on the Shingo Guiding Principles.

Susan joined originally joined Orlando Health as a Neuroscience clinical nurse specialist in 2003. She served in that role until 2012 during which time she developed a novel neuroscience nurse led stroke team. Susan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science Education from the University of Florida and her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Central Florida. She has published and presented on a variety of clinical and patient safety topics and was recently named one of Becker’s Patient Safety Experts to Know in 2023.

Susan is passionate about integrating patient experience into the framework of clinical quality improvement.
