Cynthia Powell, MD
Cynthia Powell, MD, was appointed President of Orlando Health Physician Group in February 2012. She also serves as academic chair of Orlando Health’s Internal Medicine Residency Program and works closely with the Cancer Medicine Specialty Section at UF Health Cancer Center - Orlando Health to help provide complete medical care to all cancer patients.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Powell continues to see patients at Orlando Health Internal Medicine practice, where she is the director. The group practice of nine clinicians was designated in July 2014 as a Patient Centered Medical Home, one of only six such groups in Central Florida.
She received both her undergraduate degree in the Honors Program and doctorate in the College of Medicine at the University of South Florida. Her post-doctoral training was completed at Orlando Regional Healthcare, Department of Internal Medicine, where she was Chief Resident.
