A Message from Alabama Leader Thibaut van Marcke

All of us at Orlando Health look forward to making Brookwood Baptist Health the best healthcare system in Alabama! Developing meaningful relationships with local residents and community leaders is one of my top priorities as I lead Orlando Health’s efforts in the Central Alabama region.

Why are we so excited about this opportunity? It really comes down to four things:

• First, this continues our mission of improving the health and quality of life for both local residents and the larger community. A private, not-for-profit healthcare system like Orlando Health serves a special need — especially when it comes to providing faith-based care.
• Acquiring a regional health system also enables us to develop approaches that play to the strengths of our physicians and team members, and to address specific needs in the community.
• We can’t emphasize this one enough: We like the Birmingham region and want to contribute to its ongoing success and growth. Plus, we like our partner.
• Finally, joining forces with Baptist Health is a great honor to further faith-based care in Alabama.
