Industry veteran Michael Mueller joins the Southwest Orange hospital

Orlando, FL (August 21, 2020) – Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital has selected industry veteran Michael Mueller as the hospital’s new chief financial officer (CFO). In addition to leading finance and accounting, Mr. Mueller will serve as a financial and strategic business advisor to the hospital president and broader leadership team.

Phillips Hospital. “His vast financial experience is perfect as our hospital continues to grow.”

Mr. Mueller brings nearly 20 years of executive-level healthcare experience in finance to Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips. He previously served as the CFO of Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, Doctors Health System and Director of Finance at Memorial Medical Center—the last two facilities located in Springfield, IL. In these roles, he was a key member of the executive team, responsible for critical strategy and operational decisions, as well as overseeing financial planning and analysis.

A certified public accountant, Mr. Mueller was named “CFO of the Year” in 2011 by the Orlando Business Journal, which features decision makers in the community who are leading in business. Additionally, amongst his many volunteer activities, he is the Treasurer of the Heart of Florida United Way, serves on the finance committee of the YMCA of Central Florida, Secretary of the West Orange Health Alliance and is a Past-President of the Kappa Delta Rho Foundation and the Dana-Thomas House Foundation.
