Orlando Health is sharing the following message on behalf of the City of Orlando

April 04, 2019

To facilitate needed repairs to a sanitary sewer system in the area, the City of Orlando will be temporarily closing the intersection of Atlanta Ave & Columbia St.

The project will include underground work that will begin at the intersection of Atlanta Avenue and Columbia Street, continue west along Columbia, then along Atlanta Avenue and is expected to conclude at the intersection of Huey Avenue and Columbia Street.  Once the project is complete, road resurfacing will be necessary for Atlanta Avenue and the westbound lane of Columbia Street.

Site preparation, maintenance of traffic, and mobilization will begin on Friday, April 5, 2019. Actual project work is expected to begin on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

The entire project duration is planned over the following dates - April 5, 2019 to April 24, 2019.

To avoid delays due to this closure, patients, families, guests and team members should use alternate routes to access Orlando Health’s downtown campus.
