Rinehart Surgery Center Opens in Lake Mary

Adds New Offering to Orlando Health Medical Pavilion

Orlando, FL (August 13, 2020) – The Rinehart Surgery Center, an affiliate of Orlando Health, is now open in Lake Mary following a ribbon-cutting earlier today for the new facility.

With approximately 10,000 square feet of space, the Rinehart Surgery Center is located on the first floor of the Orlando Health Medical Pavilion – Lake Mary. It will feature three state-of-the-art operating rooms and 12 pre-op/recovery beds for patients. The surgery center will be equipped to provide outpatient surgical services in orthopedics, gynecology, podiatry and retina.

“We’re really excited to open the Rinehart Surgery Center and bring an unprecedented level of convenience and care to Lake Mary and the surrounding communities,” says Shawn Molsberger, president of Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital. “It’s a great facility that complements the wide array of outpatient services our patients can already access at the recently opened Orlando Health campus in Lake Mary.”

The Orlando Health Medical Pavilion – Lake Mary, which opened in early 2019, is a three-story, 60,000 square-foot medical office building that offers comprehensive health care in a convenient, one-stop location. In addition to the surgery center, it houses a pharmacy, imaging center, laboratory services, and a number of Orlando Health specialties, including maternal-fetal medicine, cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, orthopedics, pulmonology, urology, general surgery, and several pediatric specialties.

Next to the medical pavilion is the free-standing Orlando Health Emergency Room – Lake Mary, also opened in early 2019. The two-story, 40,000 square-foot emergency department is provided as a service of Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital. It is staffed by physicians board-certified in emergency medicine and nurses certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and neonatal resuscitation. The facility includes 24 treatment rooms, plus a lab, imaging department, ambulance bays and helipad.
