Pat Bair OT, CHT

Pat Bair has a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been an occupational therapist since 1982. Prior to joining Orlando Health, she worked for ten years at Jewett Orthopedic Clinic. She has certifications in hand therapy and lymphedema treatment.

 

Marissa Conrad, MS, PT, CBIS

Marissa is physical therapist currently employed with Orlando Health ORMC Institute for Advanced Rehabilitation. She works in the outpatient setting for the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center (BIRC). She is a certified Brain Injury Specialist. Her clinical practice focuses on evaluation and treatment of neurologic and vestibular patients with a special interest in balance and vestibular rehabilitation. Marissa earned her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in 1999 and Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from University of Central Florida in 2007.

Laura Haynes PT, DPT

Laura Haynes received her doctorate of physical therapy at Duke University. She started her career with Orlando Health and has been focusing on general outpatient orthopedics as well as pelvic floor physical therapy. She began her pelvic therapy coursework through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute last year and plans to sit for their Pelvic Therapy Practitioner Certification (PTPC) exam which is currently being developed. Among her women’s health patients, she primarily treats urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain.

Colleen Scordato DPT, Cert. MDT

Colleen Scordato received her doctorate of physical therapy at Wheeling Jesuit University. She worked at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System for three years prior to her current employment at Orlando Health. In spring of 2011, she received her certification in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. The McKenzie Method uses repetitive movement and a progression of forces to centralize and abolish pain in spine patients. She has also taken further spine continuing education and has recently begun her education on the Maitland theory of treating spine. Her interest is in educating patients on spine health and prevention focusing on body mechanics and rehabilitation of patients who have a spine related diagnosis.

Kristine Secrest OT, CLT

Kristine Secrest is an occupational therapist and certified lymphedema specialist working in the rehabilitation department at Orlando Health Heart & Vascular Institute. Kristi earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1990 and her certification in lymphedema in 1997. She has worked in many different areas of specialty including neuro rehab, orthopedics and oncology and started the lymphedema program here at Orlando Health in 1997. She continues to focus her time on treating lymphedema and oncology patients.

Teresa Volkerson PT, MPT

Teresa Volkerson is a Physical Therapist for Orlando Health Outpatient Rehabilitation. She received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida, and her bachelor’s in Exercise from Florida State University. Over the past 5 years she has worked closely with the Sports Medicine Team at Orlando Health, and is the Medical Volunteer Coordinator for the Orlando Ballet.

Jeannette Zyderveld, PT

Jeannette’s past clinical experience is primarily in orthopedics. In 2008 she started continuing education for pelvic physical therapy. She earned the CAPP (certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy) through the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) followed by more continuing education in pelvic physical therapy, myofascial release (Barnes) and visceral manipulation (Barral). She works primarily with women: adults and adolescents with diagnoses such as urinary incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, abdominal pain, constipation, fecal incontinence, back and/or leg pain during pregnancy and some oncology cases.  Her emphasis is on teaching things patients can do for themselves, establishing a home exercise and self-treatment program and then using more manual therapy during later treatment sessions.
