Our staff is dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of health care and health education services for women of all stages and ages of life.

Here at Health Central Hospital, you have an extended family of caregivers ready to receive you and your special delivery. Our oversized labor and delivery rooms, spacious family-oriented maternity suites and level I newborn nursery are located together on the third floor and offer a state-of-the-art security system to ensure your baby's safety.

Should the need arise, a specially trained pediatric physician is on staff and on call 24/7 to ensure your newborn receives the best possible care.

Educational Courses

Childbirth Education Class

Childbirth Education classes are offered by Orange County Healthy Start and are held at Health Central Hospital on Tuesday evenings for 4 consecutive weeks. All expectant parents are invited to join Healthy Start and the Orange County Health Department for classes designed to prepare parents for the childbirth experience.  This is a four-day class series that covers signs of labor, preparation for labor and birth, lamaze techniques, stages of labor and birth, medications, comfort measures and more. 

All Classes are from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m at Health Central Hospital in the Gleason Room located on the Garden Level.

Participants are encouraged to bring at least two pillows, a blanket or yoga mat, and a snack/drink.

There are also Saturday classes available.


Registration is required for Healthy Start and MomCare participants.  Healthy Start and MomCare participants may register through their care coordinator.  If not a Healthy Start and/or MomCare participant, visit to register and the charge will be $35.00 for the (4) Tuesday month long series and for the Saturday Only Class offerened in English/Spanish the charge will be $40.00

Boot Camp for New Dads Workshops

Babies don't come with instructions, so the Health Central Hospital has partnered with Florida Department of Health in Orange County Healthy Start Program to provide the training every dad needs to feel confident in performing basic parenting techniques.

Boot Camp for New Dads is an educational program taught by fathers for expectant and new fathers. The class is a three hour workshop covering not only baby care and fatherhood, but also the needs of new mothers.

During the first hour we will discuss topics such as: Forming a New Family, The Changing Role of Fathers, Ensuring Your Baby's Safety and Helping Mom with Breast feeding.

The second hour is a hands-on opportunity for prospective dads to practice their baby care skills, such as changing a diaper, feeding, and burping, all under the guidance of veteran dads who bring their new babies to class.
