New Orlando Health Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion Unveiled at Osceola’s 2017 State of the County Address

Kissimmee, FL (April 25, 2017)  – Osceola County and Tupperware Brands are working in conjunction with Orlando Health to bring a new emergency room and medical pavilion to the community, officials announced today during Osceola’s 2017 State of the County Address. The $32 million, 13-acre project will be located in Osceola County Commissioner Viviana Janer’s district on the northwest corner of Orange Avenue and Osceola Parkway; property that is part of Tupperware Brands’ Osceola Corporate Center.

“We are excited about Orlando Health’s new development,” said Commissioner Janer. “The project offers many benefits to Osceola County including more jobs, both during construction and after it opens. Having Orlando Health in our community means easy access to exceptional healthcare. It is an organization that has proven its commitment to the community for nearly 100 years.”

“Tupperware Brands Corporation is pleased to welcome Orlando Health to the neighborhood,” said Tom Roehlk, Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer of Tupperware Brands Corporation. “We know the new healthcare campus will become an integral part of our community.”

Phase one of the project will include a three-story 60,000 square foot emergency room and medical pavilion, featuring a freestanding emergency department on the first floor that is provided as a service of Orlando Health’s Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. The free-standing emergency department will include more than 15 treatment rooms, an imaging department, ambulance bays and a helipad, along with parking and supporting infrastructure. Phase two of the healthcare campus could include up to 60,000 square feet of additional medical offices, surgery centers, and other health and wellness concepts.

“The Orlando Health emergency room and medical pavilion will be designed to meet both current and future needs of this growing community,” said Thibaut Van Marcke, President, Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. “We are excited about providing services to this area and sincerely appreciate the warm welcome extended to us by residents, community leaders, and elected officials.”The project’s groundbreaking is scheduled to occur this fall. Plans call for phase one of the new healthcare campus to open in late fall 2018.
