Orlando Health Purchases prime I-4 frontage property in Lake Mary

Orlando, FL (January 22, 2019) – Orlando Health’s presence in the Lake Mary Wellness & Technology Park is growing. Today, the organization closed on the purchase of an additional 8.36 acres in the development, which is also home to an Orlando Health free-standing Emergency Room and Medical Pavilion – currently under construction – and a hospital, for which Orlando Health recently was granted a certificate of need by Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration.

“Subject to specific site plan approvals, we envision a future Medical Pavilion on the property that will support our Lake Mary hospital and complement our other medical facilities in the area,” said Matt Taylor, AICP, vice president of asset strategy for Orlando Health. “Its superior location will provide convenient access for the thousands of residents and employees in the region.”

Approvals for the overall planned development were granted November 1, 2018 by the City of Lake Mary. The timeline for development of Orlando Health’s new property will occur in the next couple of years as community demand for healthcare services continues to grow in Lake Mary and Seminole County.
