Caleb Mercado, MD

Caleb Mercado, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist with the Orlando Health Heart Institute Cardiology Group. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, in echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography, and in interventional cardiology.

Dr. Mercado earned his medical degree from Universidad Centro de Estudios Tecnologicos in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and his undergraduate degree in medical sciences from the Universidad de Montemorelos in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at New York Medical College Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Center in San Juan and in interventional cardiology at Montreal Heart Institute in Canada.

Dr. Mercado is dedicated to providing patients compassionate care with the most advanced technologies and clinical treatments. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a diplomat of the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease, American Board of Internal Medicine, and American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Mercado is fluent in both English and Spanish.
