Roland A. Filart, MD

Roland A. Filart, MD, is a board-certified clinical cardiac electrophysiologist with Orlando Health Heart Institute Cardiology Group. He also specializes in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. His clinical interests include radio frequency and cryo energy ablation of atrial fibrillation, treatment of SVT and VT, pacemakers, loop recorders and Watchman device implantations.

Dr. Filart earned his medical degree with honors from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his general residency at George Washington Medical Center, where he was chief resident. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at Boston University Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at Jefferson Medical College in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Filart is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the Heart Rhythm Society. He is also a member of the American College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Filart has written numerous abstracts and articles for such publications as Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology and Circulation, an American Heart Association journal.
