Why ORMC: This emergency medicine program is a hidden gem. The people of ORMC are what sold me on this program. This truly is a family; the camaraderie amongst the residents, faculty, and nursing is amazing. The residents here are the happiest I’ve seen and they are routinely doing fun outdoor activities together at the beach, Disney, or downtown Orlando. The patient population, pediatric and trauma exposure, community/county/academic tri-brid model, engaging didactics, outstanding teaching faculty, the focus on resident wellness, and the amazing free food are also highlights of this program. This is a very family friendly program and there are endless activities available in Orlando, which is great for my wife and kids.
Hobbies: With my time off, I like to spend time with my family, doing minor construction projects in my garage, stand up paddle boarding, exercising, playing and watching sports, and enjoying the outdoors.
