The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers an ACGME accredited training program in Ob/Gyn.
There are 7 PGY residents in each year of the 4 year of clinical training. We anticipate that each of the residents who originally match our program will complete the program, however, progression from year to year is dependent upon satisfaction of the academic and professional achievement.
Our department participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for 7 PGY-1 positions. All applications must be submitted electronically through ERAS. The only documentation reviewed for consideration. A complete electronic application includes the ERAS common application, CV (generated through ERAS), medical school transcript, dean’s letter, personal statement, minimum of two letters of recommendation (1 letter should be from an Ob/Gyn faculty member). The USMLE scores for step 1 and 2 (MK) are accepted electronically through ERAS only. www.aamc.org/eras. Our applications submission deadline is October 30th. Once selected for an interview, we will do our best to accommodate request for interview dates. Requests will be issued on a first come first serve basis. Interviews will be offered during the months of October, November and December (no exceptions). The application process for International Medical Graduates - Foreign medical graduates are welcome to submit their application for review and consideration following the same application requirements as those for the U.S. medical graduate applicants.
In Addition: Prior to applying for residency, one must be ECFMG certified.
*There is an optional “Social Gathering with Residents” the evening before the interviews to allow the applicants and residents interact in an informal setting.
