Diversity Council

The mission of our Diversity Council is to promote a safe culture that celebrates diversity and inclusivity to benefit our residents, patients, institution, and the Central Florida community.

  • Promote a safe, diverse, and inclusive culture at Arnold Palmer Medical Center.
  • Improve the recruitment and retention of residents, fellows, and faculty at Arnold Palmer Medical Center that are underrepresented in medicine.
  • Contribute to the development of educational curricula about bias, social and structural determinants of health, and diversity and inclusion for the organization.
  • Empower and support the surrounding Central Florida community by providing opportunities for outreach to community organizations.

The Diversity Council comprises faculty and residents in both leadership positions and general body membership.

Activities include pre-season recruitment events, Cultural Food Day, mentoring, and community events.
