Megan Doherty, Pharm.D.
Dr. Megan Doherty, originally from Ludlow, MA, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in 2019. She completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at UF Health Shands in 2020. During her PGY-2 residency in pediatrics at Arnold Palmer Hospital (APH) she will participate in daily patient care rounds and pediatric code coverage. She will complete a research project evaluating the effect of intermittent versus continuous intraoperative cefazolin on surgical site infections in pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Additionally, she will complete a MUE looking at the correlation between antibiotic duration of therapy at discharge with the APH pediatric duration of therapy guideline for common pediatric infections and present a continuing education seminar on hyperosmolar therapy in pediatric traumatic brain injury. Upon completion of residency, Megan plans to pursue a clinical specialist position focused on pediatric critical care.
