Program Overview

PROGRAM HISTORY

Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center (previously M. D. Anderson Cancer Orlando until January 2014) began its physics residency program in June 2005. The first physics resident was hired in June 2005. A second resident was added in January 2006. Each resident completed a twenty-four month residency training program, and upon completion of each resident’s term, another resident was hired. The program applied for CAMPEP accreditation in July 2007, and was granted accreditation in May 2008 for a five-year term through the end of 2012. The program was then successfully re-accredited through the end of 2018 and then re-accredited again through the end of 2023.

PROGRAM STATISTICS
