South Downtown Orlando Roads to be Closed for Pulse Remembrances

Orlando, FL (June 7, 2017) – Several roads in South Downtown Orlando, near the Orlando Health campus, are scheduled to be closed June 10 – June 12. The road closures are in anticipation of a number of community events and activities planned to remember the victims and honor the survivors of the Pulse nightclub tragedy. These closures may affect drivers coming to or departing from Orlando Health’s downtown campus. Patients, family members, guests, and team members could be impacted by these closures and should plan ahead to allow sufficient time to arrive at their destinations. The Pulse remembrance events are expected to draw large crowds of pedestrians, which could also affect the flow of traffic in and around the Orlando Health campus. Road closures as of Friday, June 9 are as follows:

  • Southbound lane of Orange Avenue from Kaley Street to Harding Street
  • West Esther Street from Orange Avenue to South Lucerne Terrace
  • East Esther Street from Orange Avenue to Baylarian Boulevard
  • East Harding Street from Orange Avenue to Baylarian Boulevard

Please see the map for specific road closure times.
