Alex Benjamin, MD, joined Orlando Health Physicians Infectious Disease Group in 2015. Dr. Benjamin is board certified in infectious diseases and internal medicine.

Dr. Benjamin earned his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency at Temple University, followed by a fellowship at Drexel University.

Prior to joining Orlando Health, Dr. Benjamin was a physician at Lehigh Valley Physicians Group Infectious Diseases in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He has also served as a clinical adjunct professor at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

In 2004, Dr. Benjamin co-authored an article published in Drug Chem Toxicol. Additionally, he is a current member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the American College of Physicians and the International Society of Travel Medicine.
