Bio
Alexa Olson is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. She specializes in trauma/total joints surgery, and her expertise includes:
- Knee and hip pain
- Direct anterior primary total hip replacement
- Robotic primary and revision total knee replacement
- Robotic revision total hip replacement
- Hip osteoarthritis
- Knee osteoarthritis
- Intra-articular injections, including corticosteroid and visco supplementation
- Complex orthopedic trauma fracture care
Alexa believes patients should be educated about their options and involved in choices that fit their individual goals and lifestyles. She strives to help her patients feel heard, supported and confident in their recovery and long-term function.
Alexa’s Training
Alexa earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Texas in Austin and received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
About Alexa
Alexa is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed as a PA in Florida. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, trying new restaurants and traveling.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
