Bio
Dr. Alicia Coonce is a board-certified pediatrician with Orlando Health Physician Associates. She cares for patients from birth to young adulthood, treating childhood illnesses and injuries. Her specialties include:
- Sports medicine
- Asthma
- Obesity management
- Medical genetics
- Congenital heart disease
- Complex care management
Dr. Coonce believes that being a mother has made her a better doctor, and she strives to build long-term relationships with her patients and their families. She finds it rewarding to see a change for the better occur in her patients and relief, hope and determination happen with their families.
Dr. Coonce’s Training
Graduating summa cum laude, Dr. Coonce earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in physics and global studies at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. She received her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Kansas City University in Missouri and completed a pediatrics residency at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
About Dr. Coonce
Dr. Coonce is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her other professional memberships include the American Osteopathic Association and Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, gardening, silversmithing, board games, traveling, reading mystery novels and do-it-yourself projects.
