Bio
April Barbara is a certified nurse midwife (CNM) at Orlando Health Physician Associates. She has experience in:
- Managing low-risk pregnancies
- Providing patient education
- Collaborating with medical staff
- Caring for postpartum patients
She joins Orlando Health with almost 10 years of nursing experience in Central Florida, where she has worked in labor and delivery, oncology and medical/surgery.
April’s Training
April received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from AdventHealth University in Orlando. She earned a Master of Science in nursing (MSN) in both the nurse midwifery program and woman's health care nurse practitioner program at Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky.

April is certified as a nurse midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board. She is licensed in Florida as a registered nurse and as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN).

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
