Fellowship-trained surgeon Ashley A. Muehlberger, MD, provides reconstructive surgery to patients after cancer treatment and those who have experienced traumatic injuries. She works hand-in-hand with a multidisciplinary team of experts to provide the most compassionate care and help patients preserve their self-image.
Dr. Muehlberger has extensive training in reconstructive microsurgery, which enables her to repair delicate structures such as blood vessels and nerves. Using surgical microscopes, she reconstructs these minute configurations and restores use and appearance.
In conjunction with physicians across a number of specialties, she performs aesthetic/cosmetic surgeries such as septoplasty and rhinoplasty; breast reconstruction surgery; and general reconstruction procedures, including cardiac, dermatologic and orthopedic.
Dr. Muehlberger graduated magna cum laude from an accelerated Bachelor of Science and medical degree program through Northeast Ohio Medical University. She completed her residency in general surgery at Orlando Health and her fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Boston’s Beth Israel Lahey Health and Tufts Medical Center, where she served as a clinical instructor of surgery.
