Bio
Chanel Armstrong is a certified nurse midwife (CNM) at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. She has cared for patients in Florida since 2018 and specializes in:
- Providing care for women during labor, delivery and postpartum
- Midwifery care
- Natural childbirth support
- Perinatal mental health
- Assisting with Cesarean deliveries
Chanel believes every mother deserves a safe space to be heard and supported during her childbirth journey, and she strives to create an atmosphere of respect.
Chanel’s Training
She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa, graduating magna cum laude. She earned a Master of Science in nursing (MSN) from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky.
About Chanel
Chanel is certified as a nurse midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board. She is licensed in Florida as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and as a registered nurse. She has additional training in comprehensive colposcopy, circumcisions, and basic and intermediate fetal heart monitoring.
She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
Outside of work, Chanel enjoys spending time with her husband and pets, outdoor activities, soccer, reading and cooking. She also has volunteered with several organizations, including Midwives for Haiti, the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
