Charbel G. Salamon, MD - Urogynecology
Charbel Georges Salamon, MD, MS, FACS, FACOG, is a board-certified urogynecologist and reconstructive pelvic surgeon. He serves as chief of urogynecology at the Orlando Health Women's Institute Center for Urogynecology. He cares for women suffering from pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse (dropping of the bladder, uterus, or vagina), urinary leakage, bowel control problems, bladder pain, as well as complex repeat repairs for recurrent incontinence and prolapse.
Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Expertise
Dr. Salamon brings an exceptional level of expertise in minimally invasive urogynecolgy and reconstructive pelvic surgery. A minimally invasive approach offers non-surgical therapies, such as pelvic floor rehab, bladder neuromodulation, botox and bulking injections, pessaries and more. When surgery is needed, Dr. Salamon brings an expansive experience in robotic and transvaginal approach to repair the damaged muscles and ligaments and restore the pelvic floor anatomy and function. As a result, patients experience less pain and shorter recovery times.
Dr. Salamon’s Training
Dr. Salamon earned his medical degree at St. Joseph’s University – French Faculty of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon, followed by a residency in general surgery. He then completed an internship in internal medicine at Danbury Hospital, a Yale University School of Medicine-affiliated facility, and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.
Dr. Salamon further subspecialized in urogynecology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New Jersey with a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. He earned a master’s degree in clinical research organization and management from the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.

As an academic and clinical leader in the field of urogynecology, Dr. Salamon is the author of nearly 30 peer-reviewed articles. He sits on many national professional committees and participates in cutting-edge clinical research. Prior to relocating, he was named a Top NJ Doctor over the past 7 consecutive years.
Dr. Salamon is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and an active member of several medical societies and associations.
